One day, two simultaneous parts: the Physics Festival on the Domplein, for everyone, and the Student Challenge, in the Academiegebouw, specifically for physics students.
The Utrecht Physics Challenge is a brand new physics event organized by Utrecht University's Physics Department (EMMEPH) and study association A-Eskwadraat. On the 6th of May we will celebrate, promote and practice physics in the city centre of Utrecht.
Everyone is invited to join the party. Physics students of all levels will compete against each other in the Student Challenge. A professional app developed specially for this event registers the points they earned during one of the many interactive lectures in the Academiegebouw or while exploring the Physics Festival at the Domplein. The Physics Festival is the place where student, professor and interested non-physicists will meet: it is open to everyone! Breathtaking experiments, thrilling games, spectacular shows, delicious food and an almost all-knowing expert panel will make the 6th of May a physics day to never forget!
Be a physicist for a day! Feel invited to a fantastic physics festival full of mind-blowing experiments, surprising shows, amazing games and much more physics fun. Can you find the answers to all your long-burning questions?
Attend interactive lectures by outstanding international physicists, explore the exciting Physics Festival, obtain funny achievements and earn points to level up in the app. Are you going to be the winner of the game?
The Student Challenge will take place in the Auditorium of the Academiegebouw, Domplein 29, in the centre of Utrecht. At the Domplein, the square in front, the Physics Festival will shine in the shadow of the Dom Tower.
